This waterfalls photo was made on Fossil Creek, a primary headwaters stream in Germantown MetroPark in southwest Ohio.
The alternating layers of limestone and siltstone that underlie Fossil Creek make for a series of small stairstep waterfalls. In this image, several colorful leaves have become temporarily "beached" on the lip of the waterfall, until the next storm event washes them further downstream.
