White Pine Stand,
Wykoff Run, Pennsylvania
This photo of a mature stand of Eastern White Pine trees (Pinus strobus L.) was made in Wykoff Run, Cameron County, Pennsylvania, in July 2003. The wild rhodedendron were in bloom, and while photographing a nearby clump, I came across this pine stand. A grown over skid road and the regular spacing of the trees suggested it was planted back in the days of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
