Sugar Maple Fall Colors and Sky, Ohio

A mature sugar maple tree is at the peak of its fall foliage glory on a perfect blue-sky October morning. By shooting almost straight up, I am able to combine the glow of the morning sunlight through the golden leaves with the backdrop of the cloudless blue sky.

Part of the allure of this image for me is the pattern made by the radiating tree branches. Almost in silhoutte, they provide a strong counterpoint to the yellow foliage and blue sky.
