Black Cherry Foliage, Autumn,
Germantown MetroPark, Ohio
This photograph of black cherry foliage in prime autumn colors was made on a cool and dewy morning in October. Black cherry are one of the earliest of deciduous trees to turn color in the fall. One of the earliest to leaf out in spring, too.
At the moment this image was made, the sun appeared from behind the clouds, and the breezes halted for an instant, so that I could make a still and sharp photo using my tripod-mounted 35mm film camera.
