Sunset Afterglow,
New Lebanon, Ohio
This photograph of the dying sunset afterglow colors seemingly shimmers and flows from right to left. The clouds are on fire from below, fading into purple above.
I was living in a comfortably glorified shack attached to a barn at the time, and this was the view out my front door one evening. Barnyard North View. It was a unique and exquisite solitary life there. Me and a few cows, most of the time. Not to mention a family of coyotes howling down across the creek. Also deer and raccoons. And a young snapping turtle passing through one spring, on his (her?) way to...who knows where?
