Early March on northern Arizona's Coconino Plateau brought a spectacular winter sunset in Pittman Valley. An early evening snow squall had descended upon the area, but at sunset the clouds parted long enough to let the setting sun shoot through to light up the clouds over Beacon Hill and Interstate 40.
Suddenly the cold didn't feel so cold.
