Moonrise Over Antelope Plain, Wupatki National Monument, Arizona
I was making my way through Wupatki National Monument north of Flagstaff, Arizona in early springtime. I had stopped to photograph the sunset from Citadel Ruin (prehistoric pueblo ruins) near the north end of the Monument. As I was driving toward the exit of the park, the orange-yellow full moon crept over the horizon, above the straw-colored grasses and scattered dark green juniper trees of Antelope Plain.
