At Kaibab Lake on the Kaibab National Forest in northern Arizona, I became mesmerized by a nesting pair of Osprey. Their fishing habits, their mating ritual.
In this image, the male Osprey is about to land on the dead branch of a Ponderosa pine upon which their nest is built. Wings and tail feathers fanned for the landing, talons outstretched.
