Boat Bows in Salt Marsh Grass, The Creeks, Nantucket Island
This photograph was made on a foggy summer evening at The Creeks natural area of Nantucket Harbor. Several boats lie up on shore, resting in the green marsh grasses. The boat in the foreground is a scallop fishing boat, because of the sorting table mounted across the middle.
Nantucket in the summer is a dream, somewhat muted by the crowds of tourists in town and on the public beaches. Still, nature is always nearby, and you can steal away to many uncrowded places.
