Frosty Salt Marsh Grasses at Sunrise, Madaket
Nantucket Island, Massachusetts

The low orange rays of sunrise rake across frozen frosty salt marsh grasses in December at Hither Creek, Madaket, on the west end of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. The grasses form waves. Waves of orange, of frosty strands, formed by waves of salt water, and by wind.
