Steamship Authority Ferry Docking at Hyannis, Massachusetts
Hyannis, Massachusetts: a Steamship Authority ferry boat prepares to dock and unload its cargo of passengers and vehicles on a stellar summer evening. The deck crew is ready in the open cargo door of the bow of the vessel, ready to continue their jobs of transporting the passengers safely from Cape Cod to Nantucket Island or Martha's Vineyard.
In this photograph, the evening is calm, the water reflecting the shapes and colors of the the ship. Meanwhile, I eagerly await to drive my truck aboard and return to Nantucket, after a long, long drive to get to the dock.
