![]() Crisp Point Light, MichiganThe historic lighthouse at Crisp Point on the south shore of Lake Superior on Michigan's Upper Peninsula is one of the more remote lighthouses on the Great Lakes. The solitude is wonderful. After a long drive through the beautiful deep woods on the backcountry roads of the area, you could well find that you have the Crisp Point area all to yourself. At the present, all that remains is the tower and part of the entrance building. There is much restoration and preservation work to be done, with erosion being the biggest and most costly problem. The lighthouse is no longer operational. The Crisp Point Light Historical Society takes care of this lighthouse and its site.
