Dark tones form an underlying velvety base from which the middle tones and high tones shine and shimmer. Light reflects from stone walls and cliffs, spreads and diffuses to fill shadows with detail, or illuminates water and ice. Black & white photography is a unique vision on the world around us. Shapes and forms, silvery gradations, new perspectives; this is the very essense of photography.
