Crisp Point Light, Lake Superior,
Michigan Upper Peninsula
The historic lighthouse at Crisp Point on the south shore of Lake Superior on Michigan's Upper Peninsula is one of the more remote lighthouses on the Great Lakes. The solitude is wonderful. After a long drive through the beautiful deep woods on the backcountry roads of the area, you could well find that you have the Crisp Point area all to yourself.
The Crisp Point Light Historical Society takes care of this non-functioning lighthouse. You can find out more about their very nice newsletter and fundraising activities at www.crisppointlight.org.
