Cape Royal Point in Grand Canyon National Park is not to be missed if you have the time to visit this exquisite section of the park.
Cape Royal is a long drive from anywhere. But so worth it. An easy hike from the parking lot brings you to a vista like this.
In this photo, I used the afternoon haze to create an image with some semblance of the depth of the scene. On the North Rim, the perspectives are quite scary unless you're a seasoned rock climber or other acrobat. Here immense canyons seemingly yaw away on all sides, with cliffs upon cliffs stretching out for miles.
