On a spring hike all the way around Courthouse Butte between Sedona and The Village of Oak Creek, Arizona, I made this photograph of the iconic rounded-topped red rock mountain.
This is from its northwest side, and I admired the eroded scree slope fantailed out from its uppermost flanks, the deep blue sky, and the moon visible in the afternoon.
